The Bold and the Brave
As I was scouring the internet for great t-shirts to fill my Christmas list, I stumbled upon this clothing line from Kristen Ferrell. Ferrell is first and foremost an artist, but fell into clothing design to pay the bills. She lives in Lawrence, Kansas with her husband Brad Logan, guitarist of the band Leftover Crack. The clothing line features her art, a mix of the grotesque and absolute beauty, screened on t-shirts, totes, and underwear. She uses three different shirt companies including Alternative Apparel. She used to print her shirts on American Apparel clothing, but her views conflicted with the owners (read for more info). Her shirts are a perfect conversation piece or “look at me” statement.
