Lurk,You’ll Learn Something
I don’t usually do news here because in all honesty, I’m never the first to know things. I hate reading news papers, and I don’t like the news. I do though read fashion magazines over and over and at least once a day check Perez Hilton and Pink is the New Blog. I’m the person you go to if you want to know all the celebrity dirt or what the new spring pallette is going to be. I’m also the person you go to if you want to hear the ins and outs of the members of most “emo” bands (those quotes are there for a reason). This leads me to the point of this post. I was reading the new Rolling Stone with Fall Out Boy on the cover and while skimming through the article for something I haven’t already heard, I came across a little tidbit of information about Clandestine Industries. For those who could care less about Fall Out Boy or the whole emo sub-culture, Clandestine is Pete Wentz’s clothing company that basically sells hoodies and tees with witty phrases like “love can’t save you, only my super powers can” and “give love, then take it away”. But I digress, Rolling Stone briefly mentioned that Clandestine has signed a production and distribution deal with DKNY. I was totally stoked, much to the bewilderment of my brother’s friend who was reading the article over my shoulder. After searching all over the interweb, I found two articles and they also only briefly mention this little/big deal. The article was from Billboard.com, and it said, “Clandestine has sold largely on the Internet, but design house DKNY will roll out Clandestine product in the fall”. The wording is so shady, and I’m not completely sure what it means. I’m asssuming it just means more productin more places, but I’m really excited to see where all these one-liners lead.
