President of the Sperber Fan Club
Lately, I have been on this crazy lucky streak *knock on wood*. And when I say lucky streak, I am totally discounting the über-harsh speeding ticket I just got. Though that wasn’t very lucky, I was lucky enough to get a great internship with 31 Corn Lane. I have talked about Corn Lane before, but after meeting one of the sisters, Amy, and getting great sneak peeks on new products, I can honestly say I love them even more than I already did. I started the internship a while ago, and have totally become a Sperber groupie. I love everything that comes out of the genius heads of these girls, especially their new stuff.
31 Corn Lane just released a new tote, wallet, and glasses case. As soon as I saw the new items I swooned like whoa. All the pieces are white and they have a green and a red stripe down the middle. They’re lined with a super-cute tennis-themed fabric. By tennis-themed I mean red, green, and brown racquets with little yellow tennis balls on a white background. The tennis-theme comes in because the new items were inspired by tennis great Billie Jean King. King not only gave Bobby Riggs a whomping at the 1973 “Battle of the Sexes” match (girl power what?), but she strutted her stuff down the catwalk at the Fall 2007 Truth Heart Red Dress Collection.
The Tennis King Tote is honestly the perfect size. It’s not a ginormous tote, you know the kind you can put your life in it and it still feels empty, but it isn’tthe type where it’s so small you can’t actually use it for anything. I tend to use it for school when I have to carry all my binders, notebooks, and the always necessary magazine or two (Chemistry is a snooze). I also love that there’s a matching glasses case because I always throw my sunglasses in my purse and they end up with a lifetime supply of fingerprints on them from me having to riffle through my bag (so annoying). I’m totally going to stop gushing, but I have to say everything from 31 Corn Lane is not only amazingly cute, but it’s totally affordable.
