They’ve Got a Green Thumb

Organic Apparel at ISS OrlandoI may be really good at most sciences, but I suck at environmental science. It’s more of a environmental science doesn’t interest me in the least, but I do know that something we are doing has changed weather patterns and may very well continue to change weather patterns. The general term is global warming, but I think that’s misleading because it may actually end up being a lack of warmth we find in the end (The Day After Tomorrow anyone?). The good news is, the fashion industry is begining to do their part in solving this issue by starting to use organic materials and some companies have even started a line of completely organic apparel or made their entire company organic. This change is most noticeable in companies like Organic Apparel, Royal Apparel, Zuri Organic Apparel, Anvil Knitwear, and even American Apparel. Each of these companies are starting to sell entirely organic cotton tees, tanks, and with some companies fleece, thongs, bags, and hoodies. Many of theses companies have debuted there enviro friendly lines at this springs Imported Sportswear Shows (ISS) around the country. I completely support being good to the environment because it’s sort of all we have right now. I think it’s great apparel companies like these are converting because they end up selling their t-shirts, hoodies, etc to other companies to print great graphics on and sell to us kiddies (at heart).
