New Cobra Starship Song

Chelsea Rae Simmons | CDs,Entertainment,Music | Wednesday, 03 October 2007

Cobra Starship - Viva La CobraI’m so stoked! A couple of weeks ago I told you the new Cobra Starship CD is coming out in October (this month!) I just heard one of their new songs. Its called “Guilty Pleasure”, but it definitely isn’t one of mine. Nope, the song rocks, and I will proudly be humming this song all day, no guilt involved.

My initial reaction to the song was a desperate need to dance, but that is almost nothing new because that’s what most Cobra Starship songs make me want to do (that rhymed!). This song however might be the ultimate hit the dance floor, and hard song (other than “Cha Cha Slide” or something), but this song officially proclaims it’s club rockin’ title in the chorus: “I came here to make you dance tonight/I don’t care if I’m a guilty pleasure for you/ Shut up cause we won’t stop/We’re getting down till the suns coming up”.

Just as a side note, the song also has the original title of the album in it (before the changed it to Viva La Cobra), “And maybe some day I’ll believe/That we are all a part of some little plan/Tonight I just don’t give a damn/If the world is ending, I’m throwing the party”. I personally liked the title If the World Is Ending, I’m throwing to Party, but Viva La Cobra is cool too because it shows all that Fueled by Ramen brotherly love, sigh!

Gabe totally wrote this for his JT necklace— it supposedly gives him totally rad dance skills like Justin (I need to get one of those!). Take a listen and tell us what you think!
