Out of the thousands of blogs on this thing we call the interweb, you've landed on Pink Rock Candy. Why? Because we rock— I mean, because you're either really interested in fashion and/or music, or because you were looking for a good recipe to make pink rock candy. Unfortunately, I can't help you with the latter, but I'm addicted to fashion and music so click around. If you don't find what your looking for, send me and email at pinkrockfashion@gmail.com and tell me to get on my J-O-B!

Dr. Martens Wants YOU…

Chelsea Rae | Contests, Shoes | Monday, 08 October 2007

Design your own Dr. Martens 1460 BootThe first time I heard about Dr. Martens was when Blythe was going through her “anti-establishment” phase in middle school. I didn’t understand; the shoes were clunky, heavy, and pretty much made the wearer look like Frankenstein, yet they were a trend. It takes a certain person to pull off wearing Dr. Martens, and I’m not that person, but if you are, more power to you. To this day, I can say, I’ve never owned a pair of Dr. Martens, and the only way that would change is if I found a really rad pair. I mean really rad. Perhaps you will be the person to make the change.

Starting today, Dr. Martens is giving everyone from successful artists to the fun-loving finger painter a chance to be the creator of their next pair of Dr. Martens 1460 8-hole boot. The winning design is chosen by online voters and will be sold limitedly at their Neal Street store in London, and at style stores around the world.

To enter all you have to do is pick up a 1460 post card at their Neal Street store, or if you don’t want to go to London, head to their site where you can use their tools to design your dream boot. The site has easy to use editing tools, or you can download the template and edit it in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Get those creative juices flowing and good luck!
