Fell Free to Let ‘Your Eyes Lie’
When I first fell for Your Eyes Lie, it was due to there crazy silk-screened tees you could only truly appreciate while tripping off some combination of illegal drugs. I’ve never truly been able to appreciate those damn shirts, but I am still drawn to them in an odd way.
Though those stupid, amazing tees still baffle me, YEL has expanded and are selling a variety of different items from different designers. One of these designers is Mafia, and they have created this beautiful antique looking necklace. Though I know everyone interprets art differently, just looking at the necklace makes me feel free. Perhaps its the soaring bird symbolism which I think you’ll be seeing a lot more of in the coming months (along with deer, its the new skull pattern). It also still has a little bit of a sailor feel with the tattoo-ish heart and love banner, but I’ve always been fond of things from the sea so that doesn’t bother me.
The only thing I worry about with products from Mafia is they are all in limited stock at Your Eyes Lie, so waiting to buy things may end in tragedy. FYI…Thats a great thing to remember when your significant other or parents ask you why you made such an impulse buy, “The stock was limited, and I didn’t want to come back to find it gone…”
