Shoegasm of the Week: Becca Platform Pumps
The collaboration of Isaac Mizrahi and Target is perhaps one of the most influential collaborations of today. It marked the begining of the designer capsule collection craze, and is one of the longest running, if not the longest running, capsule collection out now (its been around since 2003). Since then, Isaac has been influencing the style of women from all over the US via the highly accessible Target line, which contains everything from home goods to shoes. This week, he made me swoon when we saw an adorable pair of pumps while browsing in the Target by my house.
The culprits of my recent lusts are called the ‘Becca Platform Pumps’. I initially went to Target last week to find some flats; due to a recent storm, I was in desperate need of some cheap shoes I could ruin, but instead of finding flats, I found these.
I probably looked like an idiot because when I saw them, I stopped extremely suddenly, and almost cried when I saw they didn’t have a pair in my size (I came back later in the week, and they were fully restocked). I probably would have also drooled over these 1940s-esque mary-janes with a sky-high heel, but I didn’t want to ruin the suede. I could just see myself wearing these on my upcoming birthday with a cute jewel-tone mini dress and black stockings. I’ve got the shoes, now all I have to do is find the dress!
