Fashion Week Fix: Herve Leger
![]() |
Lately I have progressively acquired a cold. Though it hasn’t been your run of the mill stuffy nose/sneezing cold. Everyday I seem to have a new symptom as one another goes away. First was the loss of hearing (due to block sinuses?), then came the sore throat but I could hear fine, then it was the sore throat and stuffy nose combo (my fave), and today my little shape shifter has morphed into an eternally dripping nose with a hint of desperate need to cough up a lung. Though I may be an incubus of viral plague, life does go on, and by life I mean fashion week and school, but mainly fashion week.
Max Azria has brought Herve Leger back from its fairly shallow grave (easier to dig up), and everyone who wasn’t in Arizona for the Super Bowl (I don’t want to talk about it) decided to lube up and slide into a skin tight bandage dress for the show. Most of the celebs came in your typical bandage dress cut above the knee in various colors, but Max Azria decided to kick things up a notch on the runway and show us how inovative one can really get with a bandage style dress. The dresses were adored with everything from feathers to flowy skirts, and sometimes both.
Though wearing a bandage dress can be a fairly scary thought (what if all my not so pleasant lumps start to show), you have to think about how the dress actually works. When wearing an ace bandage you sort of smooth out everything, meaning no bumps and lumps. Though I’m still not suggesting everyone goes out an buys a Herve Leger knockoff dress, I do have to admit they’re hot…I mean HAWT!
