Out of the thousands of blogs on this thing we call the interweb, you've landed on Pink Rock Candy. Why? Because we rock— I mean, because you're either really interested in fashion and/or music, or because you were looking for a good recipe to make pink rock candy. Unfortunately, I can't help you with the latter, but I'm addicted to fashion and music so click around. If you don't find what your looking for, send me and email at pinkrockfashion@gmail.com and tell me to get on my J-O-B!

I wish I was Cool Like Chloë

Pink Rock Candy, pinkrockcandy.net, Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

Chloë Sevigny is sort of the ultimate cool kid, at least in my opinion. Even before I knew she was this crazily worshiped style icon, I was in awe of her ability to be a style chameleon just by comparing her many different film roles— who can sport a skin tight glittery mini dress just as convincingly as a boring ankle legnth skirt? She’s now taken on the role of designer for Opening Ceremony, and it’s one of the only recent celeb/designer combo meals I actually want to sink my teeth into (I think I’m funny sometimes).

The lookbook for her new collection is just as fun, artistic, and unique as Chloë. The clothes are obviously ultra fresh in an “I love Clueless” sort of way. I love the way she mixed pieces I never would have thought to mix (leopard leggings and below the knee pencil skirt?), but what are lookbooks for if not to give inspiration as to how to wear the clothes, right?

The lookbook was shot by Mark Borthwick and the pictures are all developed in funky ways, so there are rainbows of nu rave haze covering different parts of the photos. There are also instances when the Sevigny and the clothes themselves can barely even be seen because of lens flares. Even in the seemingly unflattering pictures, Chloë is still way too cool for school.
