Win! Win! Win!
Everyone likes to win things. Whether it’s a piece of candy while playing BINGO in class or millions of dollars from the lottery, it always feels good to win. So I bring to you, lovely readers, two contests you can win. One will let you show the world your artistic genius, and the other is for the shopping obsessed mob who can put a sentence or two together.
The first contest is for those who have a knack for art. To celebrate the release of their upcoming album, The Invisible Line (March 25), Temposhark is looking for someone to design a t-shirt for there upcoming tour. The 10 best t-shirt designs will be presented to the guys and they’ll choose the winner. If you do happen to win, not only will your shirt be seen on thousands of screaming girls, but you will get $1000 dollars and a bunch of Temposhark goodies including 2 tickets their concert (you choose the venue), their entire CD catalogue, and 5 t-shirts including a signed version of the tee you designed. Want some more incentive? If you don’t win but your design is chosen to be in the top ten shirts, you still get prizes. I know, it’s awesome!

Next up is a contest for Diane von Furstenburg. Let me say it again, Diane von Furstenburg! March 8th was International Women’s Day, of which Diane is a giant advocate. So, in the spirit of IWD, DVF (whoa lots of letters) has launched a contest asking people to write an essay about the woman or women that inspire you in any and every way. There’s no word limit or restrictions on who you write about as long as it’s a real person and you can provide a picture!
The grand prize is a trip to NYC, a $5,000 shopping spree at the DVF flagship store, and 2 tickets to the Spring 2009 DFV fashion show. I’m not sure which prize I’m more excited about. If you’re not chosen to be the “grand prize winner, there are other prizes you can win including those for “Most Viral” (make sure to tell everyone about your entry, leave it in a comment if you’d like and I’ll vote for you!), “Reviewer and Voter Sweepstakes” (meaning you can win for just voting!), and “Sign-Up Sweepstakes” (sign-up for the DVF newsletter).
