Dressed to Impress Iron Man
![]() |
If all goes well, today will be a fabulous spring day. Though I had to wake up super super early to meet with a professor to ask her to be the adviser of the fashion magazine Secretista and I are planning on starting on campus, that was our secret (if it’s online would you read it?), I didn’t run into much traffic getting to campus, and I only have one class today and we’re watching a movie. That won’t be the only movie I watch today, though, I’m going to see Iron Man— but, none of that really matters because I still have no idea where I’m going to wear this really cute, spring dress I bought from Forever 21.
I’ve had it for almost a month, and haven’t had the opportunity to wear it, excepted when modeling it for my family. The dress has been worn though, I made my sister wear it to her boyfriends graduation, but I haven’t had the opportunity to gallivant around in my new-ish coral number. I might just give in and wear it tonight in a vain attempt to impress Robert Downey Jr. and show up Gwenyth Paltrow through the screen, or maybe I’ll save it for something special.
In other superhero news, I just found out Diane von Furstenberg is going to create a Wonder Woman themed holiday collection, and I’m going to start saving up to buy a starred DVF cape, so maybe I’ll look half as cute as I’m sure the Olsens will in DVF at the Met Ball.
Just for your listening pleasure, Black Sabbath “Iron Man”:

I hate that no one I know is familiar with Black Sabbath’s song. I love that song! You look so very cute! I actually wanted that dress in yellow, but it was this ugly mustard color (and usually I like that color) so I said no freakin’ way, hahaha. This pink is pretty and feminine. I guess you already went…but I say wear it! I got my computer back. Oh and congrats on your mag with Secretista. If it’s online I would read it!
I’m beyond obsessed with the Black Sabbath version. My mom used to be a big Sabbath fan when she was younger and the riff in the song was the first my brother learned when he started taking guitar lessons. I didn’t see the dress in yellow, but I really liked the pink color. The first time I saw it, I just had to get it. I didn’t end up wearing the dress, I just went with my siblings, but the movie was awesome, if you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it! (Make sure to stay through the credits)
So did you wear it to the movies???
The dress looks great! I’m excited about your new magazine, congratulations!
Secretista:
No, I didn’t end up wearing it, which was a bummer. I just went with my Sis and younger brother so there wasn’t anyone to impress. I do however fully expect you to go see Iron Man. It was amazing!
Poster Girl:
Thanks! I’m excited about the magazine too. I think it will be a lot of work, but I’m sure it will pay off.
ah im not sure if my comment sent earlier
but congrats on the magazine! my college has put out their own magazine for the last couple of years & it would be a good inspiration for you all!

Thanks for the link, we’ve been looking for good inspiration!
Iron Man was practically flawless as a super hero flick; it drops pretty obvious hints that would indicate a sequel as well… i’m thinking the next one should be equally great
Oh Patrick, I completely concur. Though, it did make me want the sequel ASAP. I think waiting until 2010 might kill me! I give it a 10 and RDJ a 10+ because he’s cute! (I totally just got all girlie on you)
that dress looks absolutely amazing on you! I go to F21 often and I’m not quite sure how I missed that dress, haha.
Its a nice post about dresses and in this post you are saying that dresses to impress the iron man.
This thinking make your article different.
