Miss Rykiel, I Have A Problem

Ever since I was little I’ve always had a penchant for being able to pick out the most expensive item out the bunch and fall madly in love with it. I do this regularly and completely unconsciously. I truly can’t help it, and as I grow, things don’t seem to be getting any better.
As I was scanning through Some Notes On Napkins today, I saw a post about the new Sonia Rykiel diffusion line for ASOS.COM, Sonia by Sonia Rykiel. The bright colors of the collection piqued my fancy, but my eye darted directly to the ‘Pleated Taffeta Bubble Dress’.
Lo and behold, as soon as I clicked the link leading me to the ASOS.com site, what did I find? Amongst a moderately priced— I use that term lightly— 21-piece collection, I happened to fall for one of the most expensive items, second only to a sole piece of outerwear which clocked in at a about $611.
I promise I don’t try like expensive items, it just happens.
Does anyone have a good cure for this problem? I’ve tried not having money, and that still doesn’t change my taste, it just regulates my actual purchases.
p.s. The rest of the collection is totally fun with lots of bright colors, stripes, and polka dots. The shapes are girlie yet can translate well with almost anything, and if you’re willing to pay over $20 for a tee then you’ll be able to buy the least expensive item.
