Fall in Love with April,May
I don’t generally care what designers or trends celebrities are wearing, but after receiving an email about Ginnifer Goodwin wearing French label, April, May, to the 2009 Genesis Awards, I had to find out more.
To be completely honest, I could care less what Ginnifer Goodwin wears on a regular basis. I’m slightly indifferent to her acting ability though I used to adore Big Love, but the April, May ‘Pelty’ dress she was wearing that made me take my mouse off the delete email button and swoon. It’s perfectly light, airy, and fits my current state of fashion lusting.
April, May, name after the birth months of designer Diane Goldstein and her husband Yohan, is my idea of the quintessential bohemian medley of SoCal comfort, London edge, and Paris chic. All the seemingly different pieces come together to create an effortless, fun clothing line.
After quickly asking for a Spring/Summer 2009 look book, falling in love with all the entire collections, and a bit of calamity with my scanner, I can finally show you a few of my favorite April, May pieces for the season. Whether I was looking at a neutral anorak, an animal print dress, or a sexy yet comfortable over-sized tee with a twist, I found myself wishing I was the model in the look book photos if only to wear the pieces for just a little.
