Went to See a Movie

Sunday evening, I went to go see (500) Days of Summer, and it was amazing. I’m not a giant movie buff, but I know good movies when I see them, and this was one. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel have chemistry that rivals Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, except without the dancing.

If I knew more about movies, I could wax poetic about the film, but this is a fashion blog so let’s talk shop.

Obviously, Zooey Deschanel is a fashion industry darling. She wears 1950s kitsch like it’s nobody’s business. There is a gorgeous dress she wears to a wedding that made me gasp— literally, people stared at me like I was crazy—and the running blue wardrobe theme did wonders for her watery-heavens called eyes.

I have a major girl crush on Zooey.

Oh, and this is what I wore to the movies because some readers asked. It’s nothing special, just a lazy Sunday tank dress. The colors are a bit Halloween, but I love orange on me.

    Zooey is a very easy girl to have a crush on, Shes so effortlessly stylish and gives out this vibe like shes the sweetest thing. You look very chic here as well. Nice blazer

    I wish I could go see that movie, but I really doubt that it’ll come out in theaters over here in Norway – we only get the totally mainstream movies… Oh well… I’ll get it on DVD. And by the way, I think there should be a “I have a girl-crush on Z. Deschanel”-club. I would join.
