The World of Pink Dolls

Chelsea Rae Simmons | Fashion, Outerwear | Thursday, 13 August 2009
Pink Rock Candy, Russian folk inspired coat, Plenty by Tracy Reese Elimovna Coat As I foraged through my closet this morning, vainly looking for something to wear, I realized that I’ve spent quite a large sum of money this Summer not on flirty skirts or sundresses, but on coats, jackets, and blazers.

If I lived in Alaska, this would make sense, but considering the temperature hasn’t dipped below 75 degrees in the past month or so, wearing anything with long sleeves seems quite trivial.

That notion isn’t stopping me from lusting over this amazing Plenty by Tracy Reese ‘Elimovna Coat’. It reminds me of a little Russian doll. I love everything about it, including the less than neutral color. Unfortunately, I’ve already purchased a new wool coat for Fall and Winter, so this coat will have to remain at Anthroplogie to be purchased and lovingly worn by another.

  • Quite the adorable coat :)
  • Fab coat!! love it!

That coat is beautiful! The dusty pink is amazing. Coats and jackets are really everyday items, even in summer, who knows when it's going to pour down with rain!

  • every single thing i've purchased this summer has been something for winter. but that's because i'm going to be having zero income through the winter. so i needed to stock up early. that jacket's pretty. looks like something you'd wear! (that's a good thing)

Beautiful coat! It's not my taste, and I know it wouldn't look good on me, but it's a fine piece of art! I think the color would suit you very well, too bad you already have a coat :P I still haven't gotten a coat for the fall/winter, but I'll wait a little bit longer, till they go on sale at H&M (that's where I got mine last year, and it might very well be one of the best purchases I've ever made).
