Twinkling All Day and Night

Yesterday, I woke up at 4:30AM so I could be at Cadillac’s Castle in the East Village by 7AM to help turn a hip vintage/consignment store into a twinkling wonderland for for Twinkle by Wenlan‘s first ever pop-up shop to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the brand.
Not only did I wake up with the birds to help set up, but played pop-up shop sales assistant from noon until six o’clock in the evening when we set up for the Twinkle Pop-Up Shop Opening Party. Champagne glasses when washed in a sink so small it must have fallen down the rabbit’s hole, bottles of bubbly were popped over and over and over again, celebs were sighted, and I got to wear one of my favorite Twinkle Holiday ’09 pieces, the ‘Luminous Vision’ dress. It seems, Gossip Girl-er Yin Chang loved the dress as well because she wore it last night too— I think I filled the dress out better, if I do say so myself!
Despite my 13-hour day, I had the best time throughout it all, and I can’t wait for tomorrow when I get to head back to Cadillac’s Twinkle’s Castle and play shop girl again from noon to 4PM.
