I can’t lie, Tim Gunn is the only reason I still tune into Project Runway every week, and apparently, he can’t lie either— not that I mind.

After publicly outing everyone’s favorite Vogue-editrix-to-hate, Anna Wintour, about being carried down the stairs after a surely hellish escape from a fashion show, Gunn has decided to get gossipy about Taylor Momsen.

He calls her a diva and pathetic in an interview with E! News because she spent most of her time on her phone instead of looking at the lines she annoyingly couldn’t remember.

As refreshing as the honesty is, I’m a little surprised, not because I can’t believe Wintour would result to being carried down a flight of stairs or that Momsen could, in all her teen-angsty glory, believe her job was less important than whatever is on her phone. I’m shocked because I wasn’t aware Gunn had it in him.

It’s one thing to be brutally honest to reality show contestants about their lackluster designs, but to knowingly place yourself outside the celebrity inner sanctum because the truth is necessary and often more interesting than fiction may prove quite dangerous in the celeb-circles— however, it does make me want to read his new book, Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work.

Though reporting on the fashionably elite’s maddening behaviors may strike fear in celebrities whilst in his presence, Gunn is definitely winning the love and allegiance of the masses, not that parenting a catchphrase like “Make it work!” wasn’t worship-worthy to start.

I just found out that Rachel Bilson is going to be the guest judge on this week’s episode of Project Runway. She looks so cute, and since she’s such a style maven, I can’t wait to hear her critique of the the designer’s pieces— they work in teams this week, right? Yikes, there’s bound to be DR-A-MA!

It’s the first official day of school, and I’m already stressed. Perhaps, I’ll be able to find solace in tomorrow’s episode of Project Runway.

When I first saw the advertisement for Nina Garcia’s upcoming show Running In Heels, to be honest, I didn’t really get it. “Why ruin a great pair of heels like that,” was my thought, but after interning at a fashion PR firm for almost a month, I completely understand.

Having never truly worked in fashion, not even in retail, I was as disillusioned as most young girls about the industry and footwear for that matter.

As much as I love The Devil Wears Prada and guilty pleasure shows like The Hills and The City, but those shows give girls this air of fantasy in terms of the fashion industry. I work twice a week, and every single time I work there seems to be a new intern. It isn’t that the PR girls are mean or off-putting— actually the opposite is true— but the girls don’t realize that working in PR is hard work and long hours even as an intern.

Bringing me to the shoe debacle. The beginning of The Devil Wears Prada depicts multiple gorgeous model-esque assistants wearing 4-5” heels, and the girls of The Hills and The City wear their skyscrapers while proudly pretending to work. However, any intern/assistant will tell you wearing any heels over a couple of inches will ruin you because you’re on your feet for hours and running around the city picking-up and dropping-off who knows what.

Though I’m sure the notches in the heel are supposed to represent the higher runs on the well styled ladder, it also sort of represents the height of heel you can wear. When you’re an intern, running around like crazy you wear flats, and when you’re the Editor-In-Chief you wear the highest loubs you can find.

So please, Miss Whitney Port, please stop saying you’re an assistant or intern or whatever you’re claiming to be at DVF because we all know if you worked as much as you lunched, you wouldn’t be able to party that much and you’re feet would be killing you.

Girls looking to get into the fashion industry, be prepared to practically give up your life, at least at first, or don’t waste other people’s time. Here’s some great advice from Taylor Tomasi, Accessories Director at Teen Vogue:

“My best tip for jump-starting a career in fashion is to take an internship very seriously—and if you love where you are working, try to stay there as long as possible. Showing initiative may lead to something more. Working in fashion, however, is not always as glamorous as what you see on television. It’s a very demanding, high-stress environment—but if you thrive under pressure, it may be the perfect fit for you.”

I know, everyone’s talking about it— the new season of Project Runway is in full swing and there are so many unanswered questions. What was Jerry thinking in Episode 1? What the hell is Blayne trying to do with that whole Girlicious shit? Who the hell are these rag-tag designers, and why does Suede keep talking about Suede in the third-person? Who knew all models were drawn to the same disgusting, silk-blend, bronze-vomit fabric. Why is Natalie Portman so cute, who said it was cool to date cast mates (Wes and Daniel), and most of all who is the spoiler culprit?

I honestly don’t have the answers to any of the questions, except maybe the Natalie Portman one (because she has the best genetic luck ever).

I’m not going to hate on Blayne for trying to be like Christian, but the fact of the matter is even “FIERCE” is played out, so stop trying to have a catch phrase. Adding ‘-icious’ to the end of adjectives isn’t cool— thanks for playing though!

Suede, every time you say your name in the third person, I get confused because I think you’re talking about the fabric.

Wes and Daniel dating wasn’t really a shocker because I read it on Oh No They Didn’t the other day— bringing me to my biggest question.

Who’s spoiling the season for us losers who actually want to watch the show? Actually, I was dead set on not watching it, but then I didn’t have to go into work yesterday and realized PR was the only thing on, but I digress. I looked at that stupid chart of who gets kicked off on Gawker, and I was either too uninterested to care or too stupid to understand it. All those boxes just made my head hurt. Oh, and by the way, ITS ALL WRONG. Thanks for trying to ruin my Project Runway fun, but consider it says Wes won two challenges including yesterdays, a.k.a. the challenge that got him eliminated, I’d say you need to go back to psychic school. Miss Chleo’s more accurate than you are!

Remember Elyse Sewell, the super snarky girl from the first season of America’s Next Top Model? She pretty much hated on everyone and it was terribly amusing. Apparently she was dating Martin Crandall, the keyboardist/guitarist/bassist of indie rock band The Shins, and they got into a little tiff in their Sacramento, California hotel room while on their way “home from Albuquerque to Portland.”

According to The Modern Age, on January 4th they were at a hotel, he was drunk and started to beat her up. She bit him in self defense, and escaped to tell the hotel security. The cops arrived, and they both went to jail. Elyse was released after only staying the night, but Martin may or may not be still in the slammer with a bail of $25,000, ouch!

Over the weekend Elyse wrote her side of the story in her LiveJournal, but for personal and legal reasons made the entries private. The the article from The Modern Age noted that Elyse said the dispute allegedly started because “Elyse complained that Marty had left her with 3 suitcases and a bag of Del Taco food to haul up to the room all by herself.”

Both parties will be in court tomorrow, January 8th, for their hearing.

Lessons to learn, don’t argue with your inebriated boyfriend about Del Taco while at a Sacramento hotel, or anywhere else for that matter, stop being abusive, and stop putting your life on the web!

Who only gained 5 points on their stupid ProRun fantasy team? Unfortunately, that was me too.

And, who was absolutely in love with the dress Victorya created? That was Sarah Jessica Parker, well, and me of course.

The dress totally fit the style of the Bitten line, and I loved the plaid, racerback vest. It’s something I could and would wear to school, out to dinner, or where ever I needed to go. I heard that the dress will cost $19.98 and will be offered in black and burgundy. The vest will only cost $14.98 and will come in black and gray. I also heard the pieces will be sold in Steve & Barry’s around the US as early as today.

The last bit of info makes me worried because today is Black Friday, and I wouldn’t leave the house to go shopping even if someone was giving me a million dollars. If it did come out today, that means it might be gone by the time I try to buy it. My only hope is the Steve & Barry’s around me is faulty, as usual, and don’t put out the items in time. If any brave soul happened to go out to Steve & Barry’s today, did you see the dress and vest? Just wondering.

In the video she’s Heidi’s touching her boobs and talking about being nipplely. She also states the obvious by saying she has great knockers (her words not mine). This may also be a part of Victoria’s have-the-perfect-body secret, self-realization. If we all go around saying we have great knockers and talking about our nipples, we might all have bodies perfect enough that we too will be nicknamed “The Body”. Actually, I think this might have just been bloopers for part of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show commercial (the fashion show airs on Dec. 4), but its funny none the less.

Gossip Girl is on tonight. Who’s Stoked? I am! Last week was crazy Blair and Chuck, what!? Now that I’m done with my unintelligible girl banter you can either head to the CW website to figure out what I’m talking about or, the better option, read the rest of the post and then go figure out what I’m talking about.

I just read an article on BuzzSugar, and it was about Virgins on Gossip Girl.

Actually, it was about The Virgins on G². Today’s episode is Blair’s birthday and ironically there are going to be 5 songs from New York band The Virgins (its only ironic if you knew what I was talking about before, honest). What I’m saying is they’re pretty much holding the monopoly on the music of the Upper East Side on tonight’s episode, and by the end of the week they’ll be everywhere. If you’re one of those people who hate listening to top 40 music make sure to jump on The Virgins train soon, so you can say “I knew about them before everyone else.” Their sound is NY indie with a bit of The Strokes influence. Its catchy, poppy and retro to the point where its almost disco, especially their song “Rich Girls”. It makes you want to dance around waving your hands in the air, all in all, I really like their them. I heard they signed a deal with Interscope over the summer so a CD should be out sooner or later, but for now you can download their 5-song EP, The Virgins ’07, on iTunes. Hear their song, “Love Is Colder Than Death” beneath.

He recently got a taste of reality TV, and I use that word loosely on The Hills, when Lauren helped out with the fittings for the TeenVOGUE Young Hollywood Party which Marc re-showed his Spring 2008 Marc by Marc show.

The question is would Marc Jacobs be a good Reality TV star? Well, he has the whole necessary self obsession thing down pact, and I’m sure it would be interesting to see what actually happens when creating a fashion line (one day, I’ll see it first hand). The only thing is he has a bad habit of not being timely, and that may be disaterous for the film crew, or it’ll make for a great TV show. Who knows.

On November 14th the new season of Project Runway airs, and its a real episode. Unlike the seasons before, this year will have no “Road to the Runway” episode, where we find out about the cast. They are just going to launch right into the season, and we’ll form our opinions along the way. Honestly, we think this is better because the casting specials are boring to us. If you want to meet the cast you can do so on the Project Runway website, but WE WANT ACTION!

Before we get to enjoy being glued to the TV for the entire hour of the PR season premiere (commercials too), we can waste an entire weekend watch the adventures of last season because the Project Runway: The Complete Third Season DVD comes out on Tuesday, November 6. The DVD has 15 extended episodes so we can giggle all we want at Michael Kors being “underwhelmed” and Tim Gunn telling the designers to “Make it work!”. Oh, and you can see all the pretty (and sometimes not so pretty) clothes the designers created last season all over again.

Not much happened on ANTM.
The Deets: The girls were taken on a cruise, narrowed down from 50 to 20 and then 20 to 13. There was much tear shed, some broken dreams, but everyone will end up all right. Miss J. had on a sailor outfit that was fab-u-lous, and totally cracked me up. Jaslene, last year’s winner, made a brief appearance before the 20 girls had a beach photoshoot.
Final Thoughts:Right now I’m not sure who my favorite is, but if you have one do tell.

Now onto Gossip Girl.
The Deets: Serena comes back from boarding school in Connecticut. Blair, Serena’s old bestie, doesn’t want to give up new Queen B status. A diva stare-down ensues because B. doesn’t invite S. to the ‘Kiss on the Lips’ party. B. and S. make up for about five seconds, but Blair finds out Serena had hooked up with her boyfriend, Nate before heading to a boarding school in CT. Meanwhile, freshman and social nobody (yet), Jenny, starts to form a friendship with the cool kids, and her brother, Dan, ends up on a date with Serena. The date is interrupted because Jenny’s having guy trouble (the jerk’s name is Chuck); Chuck gets punched, Dan gets the girl and saves his sister, Blair is still pissed, and Nate wants Serena. THE END!
Final Thoughts: Why are the Gossip Girl guys so cute? Oh, and Tristan thinks this show owns his life.
