I doubt I could fully express my love for Flight of the Conchords, but I’m going to try, and then you’re going to watch their new video for “Ladies of the World”. Now, where do I begin? Should I start with their names? Bret Mckenzie and Jermaine Clement, which they happen to say really amusingly. How about the fact that they have an awesome show on HBO, called Flight of the Conchords. If you haven’t seen it your missing out. I was supposed to currently be watching new episodes, but because of some indignant writers the new shows were pushed to the fall— I’m totally making a sad face right now. Continue Reading…

Dear i-D,
I have a bone to pick with you. What is up with this Mimi fiasco? I happen to spend more than enough money buying magazines and an exorbitant amount of time reading them both in print format and online, for those I don’t happen to purchase. Over the years I have matured and my taste in what I want to see in fashion magazines has changed. Continue Reading…

Most girls dream of that special day wear they get to dress up like a princess or at the very least feel like one, the day when they walk down the aisle and are permanently (or as permanent as can be in today’s society) bound to the man of their dreams. It may actually have something to do with every song making me want to dance around, shaking my hips sometimes while swinging my head, arms, legs, and what ever else I can swing without falling on my ass. When I realized vocalists, Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso were siblings of some of the Hannah Montana actors, I really wanted to denounce Metro Station because of my loathing of that show, but then one of their songs plays on my i-Pod and I’m right back where I started, making a fool of myself. The fashion world has been in an uproar about new laws on excessive thinness, dead models because of eating disorders, and runway exclusions because models are too thin or not thin enough, depending on where, but not many people are truly being constructive about the eating disorder issue. Last year, I wrote about an awesome company called SpoonFed Art, and not only do they make gorgeous charms out of spoons, but the owner was inspired to create her company after her own battle with an eating disorder and is a giant supporter of the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA) and even designed a limited edition NEDA necklace for their annual fundraising auction. Now, SpoonFed Art wants to give you a free necklace! Continue Reading…
