“Find some pirate boots for me,” I was told by Blythe. Aside from the fact she had just purchased a new pair of boots, she wanted me to find the impossible. Okay, maybe not impossible, but improbable for her price range. I was instructed to find a pair of dark brown, non-slouchy boots with a small heel and a top that folds over. She pretty much wanted the boots Jack Sparrow wore in Pirates of the Caribbean (why does the anticipation of spring always make me think of pirates?) This was about a month and a half ago, and I’ve yet to find a suitable pair of boots for her, but I have found a pair Vivienne Westwood that takes swashbuckling to an extreme. Continue Reading…

Have you ever heard a song on the radio, in a commercial, in a movie, wherever, and found yourself completely obsessed with it. Not only did are you obsessed you find yourself singing it constantly despite the fact that you couldn’t even recite the entire refrain. How exactly does one ruin a gorgeous Marchesa dress? Ask Amanda Bynes. She didn’t physically ruin the dress, at least I don’t think, but the essence of the gown definitely wasn’t there. At the SAG Awards, Miss Bynes wore a beauty of a teal, strapless Marchesa gown from the 2008 resort collection. Unfortunately for Amanda, the dress made her look like she was going to the prom. It just keeps getting shorter and shorter, Rihanna’s hair that is. Though I’m not one to talk much about the beauty aspect of fashion, I have to say I do commend Miss Rihanna for her boldness. First she goes from long flowing extensions locks to a short a-symmetrical bob à la Leigh Lezark, but since the Misshapes aren’t so mainstream, everyone tags Rihanna as the trendsetter.
